Note for everybody who comes for a trip
宮古島のカイトショップはM-air１軒のみです。
M-airスタッフはカイト業務以外に宿の運営等もしている為、毎日海に出る訳ではありません。また、ローカルメンバーも少ない上、週末活動のみのメンバーが多く、トリップに来てゲレンデに行ったら誰かいる、という環境ではありませんので、下記の内容をよく読んでご協力をお願いいたします。
M-air is The only Kiteshop in Miyakojima. Because the staff of M-air is
not only working in the Kite business but also managing the Guesthouse,
its not the case that they go to the beach everyday. Also, there are only
a few local kiteboarders and most of them only kite at weekends, so if
you come for a trip and go to a spot, its often not the case that someone
is at the spot, so please read carefully whats written below and please
cooperate.
宮古ではカイトでのビーチや海面利用に対して、一部の漁師の反発がいまだ強く、また島民に認知されていないのが現状で、これまで何度も関係各所に交渉を重ねて、各ゲレンデを利用させてもらってます。
In Miyakojima Island there is still a strong opposition among some fishermen
against the usage of beach and water surface for kitesurfing, and also
kitesurfing is not yet acknowledged by all islanders of Miyakojima Island,
so we are allowed to use each spot after a lot and repeated negotiations
and discussions with the concerned parties.
各ゲレンデでルールがあり、その最新情報を入手してほしいのと、M-airにて島内のカイト状況を把握したいのもあるので、ご面倒とは思いますが Each spot has its own rules, and we would like you to know them, and also
here at M-air we would like to have a grasp of the kitesurfing situation
on the island, so it might be a hassle,
必ず来島される前に、M-air（09015836520）かローカルメンバーまでご連絡ください。できるだけトリップの予定が決まった際に、詳細（メンバーの名前、緊急連絡先、宿泊先、所属ショップ）をお知らせいただきたいです。
これは初めての方だけでなく、リピーターの方もお願いいたします。
but please, before you come to Miyakojima, definitely call M-air（09015836520）or
a local kitesurfer. Please let us know as early as possible the details
of your planned trip (Names of participants, emergency contact adress and
where you stay). This applies not only for trip guests who come for the
first time, but also for repeated coming guests.
情報収集はもちろん、来島されてからゲレンデに向かう前にM-airに寄っていただいてもOKです。もしサポートやゲレンデ案内、アテンドやスクールが必要であれば、事前にご連絡いただく際に、合わせてご用命ください。 Information gathering is definitely neccessary, but of course after arriving on the island you can also visit M-air directly before going to the spots. If support, spot guidance, attendance or lessons are needed, please order it at the same time when you contact us beforehand.
また、M-airと併設の「ゲストハウス宮古島」にご宿泊いただくと、M-airスタッフや他のカイト宿泊客と常に情報交換ができ、仲間も増えて道具の管理も楽なのでお勧めです！
Also, if you stay in the "Guesthouse Miyakojima" which is linked
to M-air, you can always exchange informations with the staff of M-air
and other Kite-guests, get in touch with fellow kitesurfers and have ease
with the management of the equipment, so we recommend it!
※無連絡で来られた場合は時によっては滑走をお断りすることがございますのでご了承ください。
※If you come without getting in contact, it can happen that you will be
declined to kitesurf, so please take note of that.
A wish at beginner kiteboarders ビギナーカイトボーダーへのお願い
Beginner kiteboarders who want to come for a trip should please always
come with an experienced rider who can take care of them.
（ビギナー＝アップを取って出艇場所に帰って来る事の出来ない、セルフランチング・ランディングが出来ない、セルフレスキュー等リスクマネジメントが出来ない方等）
(Beginners= Persons who can`t get upwind back to the starting point, can`t
relaunch the kite on their own, can not self-launch or-land the kite and
can`t do self-rescue and other riskmanagements)
もし上級者の同行がない場合は、M-airのスクールに入られる事をお勧めいたします。
というのもビギナーの方が単独でカイトをされた場合、環境面や知識・技術面でも適切な対応ができず、この宮古でもトラブルを起こし危険が生じる可能性（本人、他人への怪我やその他迷惑がかかる行為）が高いからです。If
a beginner is not accompanied by an experienced rider, we recommend to
take courses at M-air`s kiteboarding school. This is also because if a
beginner is kitesurfing alone, he/she most probably can not appropriately
deal with the circumstances on the knowledge- and technique- level, and
so the risk is high that he/she might cause trouble here on Miyakojima
or even cause hazard (for themself, injuries to other persons or other
actions that might cause trouble).
普通にトリップに来られるだけですと、当方が不在だったり他のスクールや用事で手が離せない時に、お客様単独での行動を余儀なくされます。事前に予約しスクールに入って頂くということは、海上で常にお客様をケアする体制が取れ、練習中のリスクマネジメントはインストラクターが管理するので安心して安全に練習できますし、凧の上げ下げやトラブル時のサポートも助かると思います。もちろん上達の為のノウハウもお伝え出来ます。
When you just come for a trip, it can happen that you be forced to go on
your own when we are absence or busy with other lessons or things to do.
To reserve beforehand and join the school means, that we can organize it
so we can always watch out and care for you when you are on the water,
the teacher is taking care of the riskmanagement while the training so
you can safely focus on your practice and the support when launching or
landing the kite or when in trouble should be helpful too. Of course we
also teach you the knowledge to improve.
ということで、経験の浅いカイトボーダーの方は単独行動をされない様、よろしくお願いいたします。
In short, Kiteboarders with only shallow experience should please not go
on their own, we hope you understand and thank you for your cooperation.
